Preserving Local History

Smoky Valley Historical Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to collecting and preserving historical data pertaining to the early history and settlement of our community in general and the city of Lindsborg in particular.

SVHA has helped preserve and beautify places of historical interest in the smoky valley, plus owns and maintains Coronado Heights Park and Hoglund Dugout near Lindsborg.

New Project for 2025-2026

Smoky Valley Historical Association (SVHA) has started a project to update the 2005 Lindsborg Business Directory. This valuable resource was originally created by the 1994 Lindsborg 125th Anniversary Committee and updated by SVHA in 2005 with

Dorman Lehman as coordinator.

Tim Stewart has been appointed coordinator for this 2026 revision and expansion with the help of a small committee. Many people will be needed to make this a reality, whether you are a current or former Lindsborg business owner, we need your business info and timeline (years only).

A short online form has been created to accomplish this and is accessible through the QR Code to the left. Please take a few minutes to fill this out for each business and address. If your business has moved in the past twenty years please fill the form out for each address with appropriate years.

This project is made possible by a small Nutt Grant and pledges by you, we thank you all.
